My mum used to use it all the time, she swore by it, she used to put it on whenever she washed her feet she also said that hospitals used it for patients with problem feet ( she was a nurse )
a girl i used to work beside was buying it for her mum to use for the same reason. I had never heard of it and asked her how it was used. She said that she would wipe it on daily for the first week and after that use every 3 days or so.
what does is to? stop you getting blisters??
I think it toughens up the feet!!!!
Hi - something else to try would be putting vaseline in between your toes as this means that even though they might touch they won't rub and blister.
Good luck!

Another good reason to use vaseline or australian heel balm, is that it will soften the leather it comes into contact with so helping th shoes mould to your feet. From a personal basis I am afraid surgical spirit did not help me much.
Are you diabetic? You should visit a doctor and check out why you are getting blisters.

Thanks for the replies. The blisters are just from wearing trainers which aren't wide enough I think - I've now found out that boys trainers are much wider (and cheaper) so I've bought some of those.

I will give vaseline a try as well.
New Balance trainers come with different width sizes.

Worth a thought if you have flat or wide feet.
Condis crystals - from chemists - purple crystals to dissolve in water - soak your feet and dry. (they turn you feet brown, but it wears off.
Also, chemists used to make up stuff called, "Whitfields " cream.
Wash feet at night, thicken it on, put on pair of woolly socks and sleep in them. Refreshes the feet wonderfully.
