Tents heating up in the morning

Hello. I love camping but hate it when the tent heats up when the sun rises. I'd sometimes like a lie in rather than waking at 5.30 am in the stifling heat. Barr camping in the shade of the morning sun, is there a way to combat this. Does webbing keep the morning sun off? At the ,oment I ca mp underneath a large canvas dining shelter, but would like this to be used as a dining shelter as there are 10 of us going on our next camping trip.

Any suggestions?? What about the webbing idea??

We used to use a second layer, called flysheets. I think they went out as waterproofing improved. But basically a large sheet, raised above the ridge by an extension piece on the poles and guyed out at the sides. Quieter when its raining too!
