I last visited Israel in 1984 and had a great time but a lot has happened since then!. I'd like to go back but am a little worried about terrorism. Has anyone been there recently? Did you feel safe there? I really loved Tel Aviv, if you've been and know of a good hotel please let me know.

I've been there recently - no problems. In places like this, you take your chances, but the chances are you'll be fine.

This may be late but just an additional information to everyone. Been to Israel a few times already, alone and sometimes with somebody but everything is good. Despite what we hear or read in the news nowadays it is still safe to travel to Israel especially in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
