Days Inn Long Island City
2 Answers
I just wanted to know whether the newly opened Days Inn in LIC is the one on Queens BLVD
Secondly, anyone stayed here before?
I have read that it has recently opened and can't seem to find any reviews on it.
Just wanted to know how far it was to NYC and places like Fifth Avenue, Central Park etc.

My sister works in LIC and they have to walk quite far to find a store or food. I would think it is the one on Queens Blvd. which is a bit more busy. It probably is quite close to the subway for a fairly quick trip into Manhattan. It probably is nice since it is new, but I would not plan on finding anything much around the LIC area. Most of Queens Blvd. is busy and has a lot of stores and traffic. Be very careful walking aound QB it is called the Blvd. of Death b/c it has so many lanes and the lights are not long enough to get across in one try. I also would be careful walking there at night. Not a horrible area, but still..... I will ask sis if she knows where the days Inn is and if she's heard anything.
I am usually in CB.

Did you post on Trip advisor too?? I googled the hotel and found that question! Long Island and LIC are two very different places and not too close to each other.. (Though technically the Queens area is on Long Island. Don't ask!!!) I would think LIC is closer than partrs of NJ, but it depends on where you would stay. I would stick with Queens. From the map I found it looks like the hotel is quite close to Mahattan and would be a easy trip on Public Transportation. I'll check back later.
