Father-Daughter Road Trip Ideas needed!
8 Answers
I need some ideas for a place in the united states that a father and a daughter could both enjoy. I'm a teenager and my dad is in his early fourties. We just need a break from the rest of the family. We both like cars and mostly the same stuff, but I like to do some sightseeing. I'm more artistic in nature and my dad is a....dad. Since I'm with him a lot we like a lot of guy stuff. We need your ideas...I'm planning it as a surprise!

The downside is that you are on a fixed itinerary, with set nights at each pre-booked hotel.
A number of travel companies do the same trip, on a two week vacation. You fly into either San Francisco or LA, plus visit San Diego, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Fresno & back to San Francisco.
I seem to recall paying around 800 - 900 each for the package (2 persons), and driving just under 3,000 miles over the two week period lots to see & do. Checkout the internet for places of interest to you, nearby/on the route. You will be lucky if there is a gig you wanna see going on, as you are passing through.
