Long weekend in Dallas?
Hi all,
My boyfriend and I are thinking about going to the US for a long weekend later this year, has anyone been to Dallas? Just wondering if it's a nice city, what there is to do, and if we could get around on public transport?
Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks :-)

HiEmu, i got married in Dallas a few years back.
Its a very friendly place and well worth a visit. Be sure to go to the top of Reunion tower in the glass elevator, theres a revolving restaurant a the top so its a great way to view the city. The only negative point is there arnt any pavements so you do have to take cabs.
Also, Fort Worth is worth visiting and of course Southfork ranch.

One of my favourite cities. Get a car as no one uses public transport. Make sure you go to Fort Worth and see them walking the steer through the street, have a drink in the hotel bar where the bar stools are saddles; drive up to Parker and visit the Southfork ranch where 'Dallas' was filmed - corney but great fun; go shopping - Galleria is fantastic as is the outlet malls at Allan and Grapevine. Eat some great tex-mex food and enjoy the sunshine!
