england holiday!

Me and my boyfriend want to go somewhere on a little break between the 6th-10th of september, but we want it to be somewhere nice but cheap, and also somewhere with lots of things to do. It has to be somewhere preferably within reasonable driving distance from the leeds area.
does anyone have any ideas?!

It depends on what you mean by lots of things to do.
If you want nightlife etc I'd recommend York or Newcastle.
If you want scenery and walks you can't beat Robin Hoods Bay or Whitby.
