I saw an article on the Zeppelin museum at Friedrichshafen and thought it sounded intriguing. Has anyone been and what did you think of it?

Whats that area ( Lake Constance ) like? Worth staying on a little longer?

Lake constance is a smashing place and well worth a visit if you do go dont forget to try the chocolate....I worked about 35miles from there many moons ago in Memmingham and paid many a visit,good luck

I've been to Friedrichshafen but not to the museum. There are cheap Ryanair flights from Stansted to Friedrichshafen. The airport has a train station.

Lake Constance and the surrounding area are very picturesque, and perfect for gentle cycling in summer with vineyards along the way. Switzerland is nearby and you can take a ferry which zigzags along, stopping at a German village and then a Swiss one and then another German one. Historic German towns and churches.
