Hi,
I am sure I've got a train from Nottingham to Manchester before without too much hassle, I don't think I had to change and it took about 2 hours. Looking now I have to change twice and it will take nearly 3 hours - am I going mad or has something changed which means there aren't direct trains any more. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I can only find trains with 2 changes. Various routes (change at Derby/Stoke, Chesterfield/Sheffield, Derby/Sheffield) but none direct!

That's what I found Cheeky Chops - but I'm sure last time I went the train was direct! Just wondering if the routes had changed or something? 3 hours and 2 trains seems ridiculous for cities not that far apart! Yet again it makes me wonder why anyone gets the train instead of driving!!!
there are through trains - although that rather depends on your day of travel. have a look at http://www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/NR/rdonlyr es/39DDA0C5-82F8-4FA4-93FB-3E2B9D5FD06E/0/EMTN ewTimetable2.pdf
