I am hoping to coach soccer in the US in June but got arrested in earlier this year for getting into a bit of trouble on a night out, i spent the night in the cell got an �80 fine and a penalty notice, how will this affect my chances of gainig a Visa to the US?

OK. You crime appears if it is not involving Moral Turpitude - though I cannot judge this. Only a US immigration official can. It looks to me like you have every right to go ahead and apply. Do you research carefully to avoid time wasting. Check out this link and further links at the Sate Dept.

Also if you've got a little cash it would not hurt to employ a US immigration lawyer. The are much cheaper in the US than in the UK.
