Name of singer/song 'like New york Snow' on recent cosmetic advert

There was a cosmetics (I think!) advert running August-October with a 1980's sounding pop song sung by a husky singer (e.g. Cyndi Lauper style) which contained the lyric 'its like New York Snow'. Its a typical 1980's pop sound bit like a Suzanne Vega tune. Can anyone help? Its driving me insane!
