Hello!
Can anybody recommend a reasonably priced guest house (B&B) in Bowness on Windermere. I will be going in March.
I have looked on smoothhound.com etc, but am after personal recommendation...
Thank you!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Applegarth Villa for 3 nites last year and it was gorgeous, we loved it. They have a restaurant on the side which is bit pricey but there are plenty of places within walking distance to get a nice meal.
The best bit is the bar, It's just like a huge sitting room, loads of comfy sofa's and a big roaring fire. lush!
It's on College Road, Windermere, LA23 1BU.

Rayrigg Villa Guest House at the top end of the main street in Windermere is very nice. We stayed a few years ago but have just Googled it and still looks nice. Not actually in Bownesss but very near. says 65 to 80 for 2 per room but might be cheaper out of season. I do remember a lovely room and breakfast.
