Can I travel freely between North and South Cypruse and vice versa, since the accession to the EU in June?

It was only the Republic of Cyprus (i.e. South) which joined the EU, and not the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. I expect that it is easier to do so for tourists than for residents.
No, you won't be allowed to. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to as I served there as a soldier with the UN. I have to say there are some nice parts in the North(Turkish) but I preferred the South(Greek).

You used to be able to cross the border on a 'day' basis in Nicosia. I believe this has been relaxed a little now - not sure of the details..

But as far as I know this is still the only crossing point.
