New York Hotel
8 Answers
I am looking for a cheap hotel in new york for 5 nights twin/double room. i was hoping to avoid shared facilities so was wondering if anyone has stayed somewhere reasonable in terms of price (say 200-250) an location. I'm not fussy just clean and with a private bathroom preferably, struggling to find anything that looks OK so hope someone can help.
Thanks

We got a week for less than 500 which included flights, hotel and breakfast. It was also walking distance from Times Square and Central Park (although a bit of a trek).
The price will probably have gone up a bit but it was still the best value when we were travelling. It was in need of an update decor wise and one of the two lifts was out of order, but it was clean, comfortable and with it's own bathroom

I got a 5 day stay in NY through Expedia 2 years ago and it cost 450 ish per person for 2 sharing.
This included flights and accomodation at 'The Milford Plaza' which is on West 45th Street (if memory serves) just off Times Square.
Highly recommend the hotel for location, security and price.
Expedia may offer this on accomodation only if you have already purchased your flights.

I have stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania, which is practically next door to Macys. It has private bathrooms and is fairly cheap, but I prefer the Milford Plaza which is one block from Times Square
