My daughter will playing at The Royal Albert Hall in October and we were thinking of stopping at a Premier Inn or Travelodge. Does anyone know if there is one of these close to the Albert Hall? Thanks.

The nearest alternative Premier Inn is 1.2 miles from the RAH:

The postcode search facility on the Travelodge website is fairly useless. Looking through their alphabetical list of hotels

doesn't show anything as close as those Premier Inns. This is probably the closest Travelodge to the RAH:

For loads of cheap hotels in London, try this website:

Set the 'Additional search options' to show both 'budget hotels' and 'guesthouses'. Look for hotels around Kensington or Bayswater.

The Berkley is also very expensive to stay, I think these people are looking for a budget hotel and the area around R/A Hall is a swanky one and above most people'spockets in this age of the credit crunch.Might be better to stay around the Victoria area and get the bus direct to outside the RAH.
I suppose they might treat themselves to one drink at the Berkley, talking of expensive drinks the bar inside the RAH is mega dear too.

Most hotel web sites have a search facility where you can put in a post code or town or city name and it tells you the nearest hotels.
While taking nothing away from Buenchico (who I know is very heplful) it would have been very easy for you to go to the Premier Inn and Travelodge web site and do the same.

We stayed at the Central Park Hotel in Bayswater a couple of weeks ago which was ok, clean comfortable on B&B basis. Good position for Albert Hall as was across the road from Kensington Gardens which you can walk through to get to Hall on the opposite side. It might be worth considering.
