The rate is sooo bad at present, I have 2 weeks before I go.
Cash or t/c s? where will I get the best rate ? certainly not at the airport !

Travellers cheques are good because they are numbered, and if you make a note of the numbers, and then lose them, they will be replaced.
Also, in places like Florida they are accepted like "cash" and they will even give you change.
To be honest you are best taking a combination of credit card, travellers cheques and cash.
Credit card will be accepted everywhere, and save you carrying around loads of cash or travellers cheques.

The rate your credit card provider charges will be 3% max (for purchases). Most charge 2.75% and a few nil.
