as anybody got any ideas where i can go for a weekend away with 2 children other than Blackpool or Wales, I live near Manchester...

Have a look on www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk lots of ideas on there and if you want an overnight stay the Holiday Inn have an offer on family rooms for as little as �44 ( 2 adults and 2 children) Quote leisure rate if booking.
