I think I may have mentioned (a few times) he-he, that I'm going to the Dales next Friday with a bunch of friends, theres 10 of us sharing a cottage, it'll be gr8888, but I said I would make up the song, you know the one that the American troops tend to do when the leader sings a line then the whole lot come in with the next one and so on, We are gona try it when we all troop to the pub which is apparently at the top of a steep hill and it's called the Fanny Grey (honest) I'm thinking my first line could be Wer'e all heading up the hill....
the names to be included would be Joy, Steve, Bill, Joan, Paul, Claire, Brenda, Pete,Linda and Ian
We are marching up the hill
With Linda, Ian, Claire and Bill.
We know the ones likely to moan
Brenda, Joy and Paul and Joan.
Pick your feet up, don't take all day
Or we'll never reach the Fanny Grey.
The first two there can bag a seat,
What's the betting it's Steve and Pete.
The 10 of us are here to stay
" " " " " " "
taking a walk up to Fanny Grey

never mind if we come back sozzeled

we'll just lay down with another bottle
