Travel to Sweden by road

Hi

I am planning a road trip from UK to Sweden in the summer, I understand it is possible to take my car (and me) on a freight ferry for a large part of the journey, however I have no idea which company or where to depart from. Does anybody have any suggestions, I'm trying to make the trip as cost effective as possible !!

For cost effectiveness - budget airline and hire a car, or short channel crossing and drive - there are plenty of ferries from Northern Germany.
