Sidari Corfu

We are off to Sidari on the 29th. Someone told my partner it's not very nice there. Apparently there is a canal that runs very near to where we are staying and it pongs dreadfully. Does anyone know about this? Although there isn't much we can do about it now, I really would like to know if this is true. We have to been to various other Greek Islands and had a wonderful time. Kefelonia was one of the best and Kos the worst. I have had a little look on various sites but nothing obviously tells me about the smell. Thanks for any help.

Try putting your hotel into trip advisor . I am sure someone would have mentioned the smell.( if any)

Thanks for that but it didn't tell me too much other than gave a rating table which was good for the apartments .

No...seriously, as Naomicorlett says...post the name of the hotel, and I'm sure you will get loads of help...!

Hi - I stayed in Sidari although it was a good few years back.
I don't remember a canal but that's not to say there wasn't one. What I do remember is that the beach was lovely and safe for the children and we had a really wonderful holiday there. Corfu is quite small and east to travel round and there are some fantastic places to go
