Is Andorra in the EU and do you need a visa to travel there from EU. A friend assures me you do but it doesn't sound right to me.

Well I went on a day trip from France to Andorra and certainly didn't need a visa...

Thanks for that. I just assumed that as it uses Euro it must be in EU.
Andorra is not actually in the EU but has special status.

Assuming you have a UK/EU passport a visa is not needed - for others I've no idea.

Definitely not, you don't even have to show your passport.
If you're going to take advantage of Andorra's tax-free status, be careful not to exceed your duty free limits.

The Customs authorities can be very strict, and they often don't stop you for a search until you're miles from the border crossing.
