I'd prefer to spend the 36 on a croissant and tepid coffee from one of the rip-off airport restaurants... then fall asleep on 3 hard plastic chairs, using luggage as a pillow...
I'd spend the 36 in the bar then sleep on the plane....
I'm with ummmm on that one
unless you are going to be mobbed by adoreing fans and snapped by the paparazzi just go with the common folk and pay 7.99 for a full English and then just sit and people watch til your gate is called, it's all good stuff, i enjoy it (but only if the flight is on time)
Don't be daft......36 worth every penny to keep away from the drunks, plebs and bleedin kids with their crisps, sweets and even worse, their ADORING parents and grandparents

Don't be silly............pay it.
Hi cazxx1
I have'nt a clue what one is, luxury waiting area? Oh go on, splash out, you know you want to! ;0) x
Once a year? I agree sqad! 18.00 each! bargain!
i wouldnt bother, spend your time going round the shops rather than sitting in the lounge. That 36 would pay for nice perfume or a fair bit of booze (2 x 1lt spirits for 16)

btw if youre going to turkey then dont even think of comfort at the airport! to get into the gate at Antalya you have to go through a 2nd set of security and they remove all liquids over 100ml. Thats fair enough, of course, until any liquids you bought in duty free are removed as well. That includes alcohol as well as bottles of water to keep you from dehydrating at the gate when flight is late.
ummmm

36 at the airport bar prices would only get you 1 pint and a small bag of peanuts.
OOps,sorry snags, did'nt see you'd aleady done the rip off joke already!
we flew back from antalya 2 years ago with loads of booze as long as it was duty free sealed it was fine! The plane was late though and they had very few seats free and the floors there are so hard!
well i was watching them remove it from people at the gate this time, Dot. People either had to stand and drink their bottles of water next to a security guard and hand bottle over or just watch it go into a large bin. I saw a lovely full bottle of baileys go into that bin too, straight from the shop.

Oh and 2 cheese burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks at the burger king there was 28!
Dot since 2 years ago the birmingham terrorists have brought the changes in about fluids i thought evryone knew that.
For 18 quid each i think you get comfort and no screaming kids and free bar too.
so soundslike a good deal to me if you are a drinker or just want to have a few in comfort.

your holiday begins there doesnt it?

blimey...some are for it some are against, now I am really confused
Definitely do it!!
doooo it

just dooooooo it

as starskey n hutch would say

lol
If you can afford it caz do it. Will be a nice start to your holiday =0)
who says you wont get screaming kids, they do allow children in lounges.

Leggy, even with the liquid restrictions that Dot and i know about, the airport at Antalya (perhaps because of terrorism in Turkey) has a different view of what is and isnt allowed in hand luggage. Shame they dont let anyone else know that before letting them buy water for plane etc.

and also free drink sounds good
sealed duty free purchases were allowed through in late 2007 and last year when we went to gran canaria and my daughter just brought me some vodka back from magaluf and my son brought me some bacardi from marmaris , both last week, and so maybe these people had opened the seal or something.
