The mayor should merely have been the 'face' of such a system.
As for Boris being up to the job, I was initially concerned that we'd elected a bumbling buffoon, but in reality he's no better or worse than Red Ken. I have to be honest and state that I believe the London Mayor should have more power to re-vitalise this city.

I'm a Tube Train Drver, and I got in to work, only to find that all the trains were stuck in the Depot, frozen doors, mechanical problems due to the snow and ice.
It was a situation that should never have happened, with all the warnings we had, but I don't think you can blame the mayor for the transport problems.
I think it an indicment of todays society.
