Turkey holiday money

Hi guys,we are off to turkey the end of June for 11 days for the first time and wondered what to do about spending money.should we change it here or there or take pound notes with us?

Take sterling and change it there and have a great time

you'll need �10 each for a visa when you get to the Turkish airport, and they'd rather have your English dosh!

been to turkey 12 times,do not change your money before you go,but do change your money with a reputable money changer,one you can go back to at any time,do not change it on the street,as they offer you a great rate,but you will never see them again,they put foreign money in the middle of your exchange,hope this helps,turkey is a lovely place to spend a holiday.
