staying at The Grand...

The good lady and myself are off to Scarborough for a short break and staying at The Grand Hotel. It used to be an absolutely fabulous hotel but recently I have heard some very poor reports on hygene, standards of service, most anything really.Have any of you anything you can tell us about the hotel ?

I am sorry if these pages from the ever reliable Trip Advisor duplicate each other,but I thought you would like more reviews rather than fewer?

Hi all just back from Scarborough and what a great little break it was. We were so blessed with the weather compared to the rest of the UK we never saw a drop of rain from Friday to Monday.
The Grand Hotel ....why do so many people go on about it ?
Its not great its been there for the best part of 100 years,its undergoing a �7million refurbishment and as long as youre not the sort who wants the quality of a 'rolls royce for the price of a mini'
As the refurbishment goes on the standards will rise I hope....
