I have put a small packet in post box and forgot to put stamp on......does anyone know what happens to it!! help.

The person at the other end will have to pay plus a charge on top of the postage.

I did the same once and then put an envelope in the box addressed to Postman. In it I put a stamp and asked to put it on offending letter. Dont know if they did but never heard from recipient that they had to pay extra.

It will be the second class postage plus a �1 fee.

If the recipient refuses to pay it may get returned to you, it may be dumped.
