Any one been to sharm el sheikh

Hi, I am looking to go to sharm el sheikh in september all inclusive, we really want to do snorkeling and we have our own gear, can anyone give me any tips on good hotels or bad hotels, i was thinking of going to sharks bay can anyone tell me if it is really quiet? and can you just wade out on your own to snorkel, please give me as much info on your experiences of egypt this holiday is for a single mum and a 15 year old girl.

i have been there several times...i personaly would not stay all inclusive as it is so cheap to eat out there.
and the AI hotels are normally quite a way out from the town. try to stay in Narma Bay where there is some great shops the smells and the noise is great. you can snorkle from the beach and see all the cast of Nemo (well no sharks) the colour is wonderful.And the egyptian people are so friendly and the tourist police on most corners make you feel safe.
in fact to me there is no place like it to holiday. Hilton Fayroux is great or tropicanna rosetta
