Hi All!

Does anyone have an idea how, or where to dipose of old passports? Have had my old one for at least a year and have no clue what to do with it.

Thanks for the answers in advance

Send it back to the Passport Office.
Burn it, or shred it?
the passport office won't want it back, when you got your new one they should have cut the corner off the old one to signify that it is expired and it then becomes your responsibility.

if you really want to dispose of it then burn it, otherwise do what everyone else does and chuck it in the back of a drawer and forget about it.
flyingpig has the right answer, and one that no doubt the Passport Office would prefer.
However, you can burn them, pull them apart and shred them,or otherwise dispose of them (although I think they actually remain the property of the Passport Office in fact).
Once the Passpaort Office has sent the old one back to you cancelled ,nobody else can use it anyway.

I'll shred it then. Thanks for the answers
Keep a note of the numbers because you have to give a list of previous passport numbers on new applications
