I think Sir Francis Drake was the first to circumnavigate the world...certainly the first Englishman. The name of his ship fits 6,4.

Well Drake's ship - The Golden Hind (originally the Pelican) was not a yacht though it was powered by sails/wind. He was the second to sail around the world - the first was Magellan's (Santa Maria) though Magellan didn't make it. Gypsy Moth (5/4) was Sir Francis Chichester's first single handed circumnavigation. A lot of information - not sure if it helps.
