It rained the first day but was still warm, bit overcast for 2 days but omg was it roasting after that lol. Are you going with children? If so visit the Zoomarine, what a great day that was, the dolphin show was amazing, & there a sea lions, bird shows etc & there is a big outdoor pool. Then there is the other waterparks which looked impressive but we didnt visit. Plent of places to eat for all budgets & tastes, beaches very nice, overall a good holiday. Hope you have a nice time x
I know it very well.
P de Rocha is lovely. The downside is that, because it has become so well known, it's quite touristey.
If you're looking for a more authentic, unspoilt, Portuguese town, go a few km West, and you'll find Alvor.
I don't know if you're thinking of a hotel but, if you are, look at the Pestana Alvor Praia. It's beautiful. The pool is on top of a cliffside, looking down on the beach. There is a lift down to beach level. And it's just far enough away from P de Rocha and Lagos to be in an unspoilt area.

I've stayed there a few times.

Hi, PeeBee
It's lovely, isn't it.
Once you pass the souvenir shops, and find that area at the bottom of the hill, down by the old harbour, where all the real local restaurants are congregated, it's so pretty. You can watch the boats coming in, transferring the fresh catch straight to the restaurant owners.
I've sat in one restaurant by the harbour, and asked what fish the waiter recommended, and he came back with a huge tray of assorted fishes, so we could pick one for dinner.
