When is a price confirmed?!

Hi,
I booked two airline tickets with an online broker.
They e-mailed me to confirm the flights and price and I e-mailed back to confirm that my details were correct.
Meanwhile there was a conversation window open. At the end of this conversation, after I had read and responded to their confirmation mail, they said they could no longer give me the price they had confirmed. The confirmation e-mail says "We are now sending you written details of your booking and the price we have agreed" and then "The price we have agreed is �910.00 including all charges" followed by the flight details.
Surely they have to honour that original price, rather than the higher one they're now quoting? They say not because the money wasn't taken from my card.
Any help gratefully received,
