Travelling Diabetic
Hi,
I'm wanting to go travelling, but I'm a diabetic and am worried that I won't be able to keep my insulin reridgerated in hot climates i.e. in india & Thailand.
Has any been travelling who's diabetic? or know anyone who has sucessfully done it?
Thanks

At night you can use the minibar,or keep using the bag if there is no fridge. I would not recommend putting insulin in a hotel fridge other than in your own room as you lose control of it.
Do not check your insulin in with your hold baggage as it will freeze and be destroyed. Hand carry, with a note from your doctor to confirm you are diabetic and need to carry your insulin. I have been told a couple of times by security I cannot carry insulin in a pen, but a doctors note coupled with a quick (and polite) lesson sorts it out.
Happy travels
