Get the 472 or 486 bus from outside the o2 to Charlton station. Its then 4 stops to Abbey Wood. However, if you are going to a concert or something, loads of people will be doing the same, so it might be quicker to walk to Charlton rather than wait for a bus.

we are going to a concert - can we not get the tube at north greenwich i think it is and get to abbeywood?
Not really. The best you could do is do Nth G'wich to Canning Town, change onto the DLR and go to Woolwich Arsenal and then change onto the train to go to Abbey Wood. Its possible, but I think its a long way round.

thanks so much for your help. would there be cabs outside the O2 and would you have any idea how much it would cost to get one from there to abbey wood?
Sorry, I don't know. I would guess the fare would be about 20.
Hiya Busy Bee.

The 472 bus is frequent and runs 24 hours per day. It departs from North Greenwich station and terminates in Thamesmead. It's a three quarter of a mile walk (or a cheap cab ride) from there, straight along Harrow Manor Way, to Abbey Wood station:
