For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Get the 472 or 486 bus from outside the o2 to Charlton station. Its then 4 stops to Abbey Wood. However, if you are going to a concert or something, loads of people will be doing the same, so it might be quicker to walk to Charlton rather than wait for a bus.

Not really. The best you could do is do Nth G'wich to Canning Town, change onto the DLR and go to Woolwich Arsenal and then change onto the train to go to Abbey Wood. Its possible, but I think its a long way round.

The 472 bus is frequent and runs 24 hours per day. It departs from North Greenwich station and terminates in Thamesmead. It's a three quarter of a mile walk (or a cheap cab ride) from there, straight along Harrow Manor Way, to Abbey Wood station:
