Does anyone know the code you have to dial after the International Code (0044) and before the number in order to access the 0800 system in the UK from Spain ? It´s something like 091 but I´m not sure what it is. Cheers, Dave

Well, as once you've dialled the 0044 any further digits will be processed by the UK system, so presumably it's the same for Spain as it is for the rest of the world. When I dial 0800 numbers from Greece, I dial exactly the same as any other number - i.e. 0044800, at which point I get a warning that the call won't be free.
Not sure as I would never call a "free" english number from Spain, but I think rojash is probably right!
word of warning 091 and 092 are emergency police numbers over here !!
I phone my mate in Spain regularly on an 0843 number. Its a totally different number to her old Spanish telephone number though (she still has that as well and both numbers come through on the same line). I don't have to dial the international code first. It's not free but I have never paid more than £3.00 for a very long chat (probably about an hour). She set it all up so I don't know how to go about it.
Most 0800 numbers bar calls from outside the UK. If they do allow them just dial 44800 and the rest of the number.
