Can you suggest somewhere in Italy similar to Lake Garda?

My partner and would like to go on holiday to Italy. I went to Lake Garda with a friend a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Has anyone out there been to anywhere else in Italy that compares with Lake Garda and can recommend it? I especially loved the evenings where all the restaurants had tables and chairs outside and you could sit and watch the world go by, and feel safe going for a wander after dinner. Also, we'd like to go somewhere with similar views. Thanks in advance.
