Easyjet.............anyone else travelled with them.?

My husband and I are going on an easyjet flight next saturday from Bristol. But as yet havnet recieved any flight tickets also how long before d we need to book in,? as it says three hours and people on the tv prog. Airline are often too late to catch there flights. Dont want to be there three hours before and didnt really need to be there that long. Is it correct you have to just grab a seat when you board as no seat numbers are given.?

Firstly... they don't issue flight tickets !

When you check in, you should be given a flight group.

You will either be:

SB - Speedy Boarding (you have to pay an extra £6 or so for that)

SA - Special Assistance (Anyone in a wheelchair, with a walking stick or anyone with a child 5 or under).

Group A

Group B.

They will board the plane in that order.

EasyJet don't use tickets - you just need your Booking Ref number.

Just to add to what NoM has said. If you booked online you should have a confirmation email with a reference number. This is your "ticket" so take it with you. If you have no luggage you can check in online which will guarantee you are in group A. Finally which group you are in A or B depends when you check in so the earlier you check in the better the odds of you not being in the last group.

I fly easyjet from Bristol quite regularly. They regularly depart from gate 1.

But, in any case, when you get on the bus, go to the other end of the bus, as that will be the only door that opens when you reach the plane - thus you will be first off the bus and up the steps to the aircraft.

if you have booked online make sure you fill in the 'passenger document details' page - it just requires you passport details etc... you wont be able to fly if you dont.

As NoMercy indicates, hardly any airlines (and certainly no UK budget airlines) issue printed tickets. You just need your booking reference. See here:

If you check in at the airport you've got two cut-off points to remember. The first is that you must check in at least 40 minutes before the flight departs. The second is that (after getting through security) you must present yourself at the gate at least 25 minutes before take-off. In practice, the first cut-off point is the important (rigorously enforced) one. The second one can be much less important. (You frequently won't even see any easyJet staff at the gate until well after it theoretically closes).

If you check in online (which you can do right now) you can ignore the first cut-off point if you've got no hold baggage. You print your own boarding pass and then, on arrival at the airport, go straight to security and on to the departure gate. If you've got hold baggage, you take it to the fast bag drop which (like check in) closes strictly 40 minutes before take-off.

Unless your booking confirmation says otherwise,easyJet advise arriving 2 (not 3) hours before departure. That should provide ample time.

In common with other budget airlines, easyJet aircraft are basically'buses with wings'. i.e. you find your own seats, exactly as you would on a bus.

I fly them too, Bobsnews........very frequently, as no other choice sometimes.........you're right though....overall not too bad....had one nightmare time with them........mislaid baggage...but it did turn up next day in time for my gig.
