photography-pictures in ikea
6 Answers
Hi people, you know if youve ever been in ikea there is big pictures that are black and white and a certain part or object in the picture is colour, whether it be a red london bus or if the picture is of New York it would be the yellow cabs, question is how is this done, ive not got photoshop but i have photo studio,as far as im told from someone you create a duplicate layer of your picture in greyscale then drag it on top of the colour and erase the object thats on top layer leaving the colour underneath, but im unable to create a greyscale copy and keep the colour one too,the tutorial is not designed for dummys like me but for photographers, can anyone explain it to me remembering ive never used a photo program before. It may be that to do this is totally different from the way ive been told,if so please say.thanks in advance for any help

No need for layers (which I've never gone on with).
I just looked up the Photo Studio program and it appears to be very limited. Furthermore there has been no development on it for some time..
I would advise you to invest in Photoshop Elements. If you are too hard up to do so then scrap Photo Studio and download GIMP but I am told it is not as easy to grasp as Photoshop and that its well complicated!
