holiday inspiration

we would like a chalet /caravan holiday but dont know where to go we are a family of 4 and have a budget of £500 we would like dorset devon or somerset or isle of wight.any ideas?thankyou.

We went to the Welcome Family Holiday Park in Dawlish Warren, South Devon last year (near Exeter and the mouth of the river Exe), web site here

I am rather particular where we stay, and I have to say this was a lovely camp, very tidy, well kept, and well run. It is ideal for families, and the evening entertainment was excellent.

A short walk to the beach (where there is a small fun fair and other amusments), and the trains run right along the coast and Dawlish Warren station is right by the beach (if you fancy a trip by train either way up the coast)

A few shops nearby (that are not too expensive) plus a couple of pubs.

There were more reviews on the tripadvisor web site last year but they seem to have had a clear out so there is only 4 (which are variable). The reviews last year were all mostly excellent (which is why we went).

How long for? And when?

Have to be honest and say if this is for the height of summer you stand little to no chance of finding such a holiday here in the UK with that budget, well, anywhere nice anyway.

Here you can see the train line right on the sea front, with Dawlish Warren in the background. As you can see there is also a coast path that runs for miles along the sea front

Thanks it looks lovely.We want to go last week of august for 1 week,so i guess it will be expensive.
