Best time for a Baltic cruise

Can anyone who has done a cruise up to St Petersburgh tell me the best weeks of the year to go for warmth and if possible a calm sea.

Thanks Chris, the charts were very helpful.

They only go May - August but the weather is unpredictable. I went and we had one really hot day, where as my friend had 14 days of scorching weather and touching 95 in SPB. Best to review your options via cruisecritic - boards.cruisecritic.com. Make sure you take a private tour in STB as so much better value and more personalised, and no, you do not need a visa!
