we do, my parents live in France and we always take Cheddar cheese,Marmalade, red and brown sauce, and wait for this, a full chinese meal, 4 x egg fried rice, sweet and sour sauce, and 4 mains and a box of prawn crackers to make when we get there. we order it the night before and when its cooled we freeze it and put it in the cool box.
The best cheese we get when visiting my parents in France is a locally produced goats cheese, lovely on some fresh french baguette, trouble is it stinks a bit so i have to put it in the spare fridge in the barn.
I once took some tea abroad as I knew it would make my then boyfriend smile as we'd be travelling and getting in quite late. Otherwise the only british classic I take with me might be a bit of Austen for some beach reading.
Taking food and drink with you on holiday? Surely whilst on holiday you like to taste the local foods and drink?
Nomercy you took a joint of beef on holiday with you? Was there any particuar reason for this?
