Railway stations in Bruges

Does anyone know which Bruges railway station I should use to connect with Brussels Midi - there seem to be several. Thanks in advance.

Just Brugge - the main station

St Pierre is a local station and everything else listed is (I think) a bus stop.

As Dzug states, the station is simply called 'Brugge'. It's about 12 minutes easy walk from the town centre (or a cheap taxi ride away).

Like nearly all railway stations in Belgium, Brugge doesn't seem to have had a lick of paint in the last half century. It's dilapidated and rather depressing. The good news is that the trains to Bruxelles Sud/Midi run at least every half hour and they're usually on time. Train services are also quite cheap (by UK standards) but, if you're travelling on Eurostar, the connection from Brugge is included in the cost of your ticket anyway.

Chris, I don't know when you last went but when we were last there (about 18 months ago I think) the station was having a major facelift, new platforms, lifts etc. etc. puts all but St. Pancras to shame in terms of the UK system :-)

Really good transfers and cheap by anyone's standards. If you're travelling in high summer, look out for the more modern 'high' carriages - they're air conditioned and comfy
