Painkillers & Dubai

Can anybody tell me if I can safely take Panadol and Ibuprofen with me on holiday to Dubai. I know I can't take Codeine but am paranoid about others.

Refer to the article here, and check to see if anything listed forms part of the ingredients. Note that it recommends contacting the UAE consulate, and having a prescription even for UK over-the-counter drugs. But safest course is as Eddie says.
