Berlin

Hi, I'm going to Berlin with some mates in early May. We're a group of lads (28), but aren't typical larger louts - we'll have a drink, but wont be going mental or anything.

Can anyone suggest what part of the city is good to stay in? Ideally I'd like somewhere central, or at least with plenty of things happening....

Also, any suggestions of things/attractions/places that are worth checking out would be most appreciated! In particular, we're quite into metal music, so any good bars/clubs (although I'm hoping there will be lots of these around as it is Germany after all ;-) )

Oh, if you know a good hotel as well (probably can afford £60 per person, per night), that'd be good, as we haven't booked anywhere yet....
