Dordogne - beginning of October.

Any idea folks of what temperatures we can expect? I imagine it would still be quite warm - around 20 degrees still? Anyone have experience of Dordogne around this time of year? (I've been at the end of May before, and it was perfect weather.)

I've stayed in the Perigueux/Brantome area end of Sept/Beginning of Oct and it was still hot and sunny....

Thanks snags - it will be 2nd October when we go - somewhere pretty isolated called Ste Sabine, which is south of Periguex, west of Monpazier - do you know it?
I have been to Dordogne before - more in the Sarlat/Le Bugue area which is south of Periguex. It was beautiful,

I don't know of Ste Sabine. I drove down with some friends and stayed in an old farmhouse surrounded by fields of tobacco and sunflowers, just outside a little village called La Marteille, near Riberac...

Actually, thinking about it some more, it was bloody baking... and all the local swimming pools seemed to be closed...

Ste Sabine is the village, very small. The nearest large(ish) town is I believe Villereal. Unfortunately we cannot go until early October, but I think it will still be warm.

Was in Bordeaux and the Vendee at the beginning of last October nice and warm and mainly sunny but quite cool at night.Just read this it sounds like I'm doing the Weather Forecast!!!

Thanks jg - I'm not so bothered about the nights - it has a lovely log burner - so long as I can sit out in the daytime & hopefully even use the pool.
