You won't see Bruges anyway will you...........the vast majority of people who frequent these mini-cruises have passed out with alcohol poisoning by the time you dock...
I've been to Bruges many times but never on a Monday because I too had heard that many businesses close that day. Maybe in the summer, in the tourist season they may be open. Bruges is certainly well worth a visit. It's really lovely. Can't you change your days? Does it have to be Sunday-Tuesday? If you decide to go, I hope you enjoy it.

Its a special deal that was advertised in the local paper - £75!! bit of a bargin...in fact now we know why its so cheap!!! but we can go either October or September, dont know if anyone has been at that time of year?....
You'll almost certainly find enough restaurants, bars and shops open on a Monday to make your visit enjoyable. If not, just stroll down to the rail station and hop on a train to the vibrant, bustling seaside town of Ostend - it's only about 15 minutes away, with at least 2 trains per hour.
