A BEACH!!!!How far up the Liverpool coastline are you thinking of travelling?
What do you mean by stay and eat by Albert Docks, you or the Ferry? (sorry)
Where are you travelling from?
we will be coming in the chester direction. wondered if anyone knew any reasonably priced hotels on albert docs and nice eateries for the weekend, sat nite stay. hope to do special ferry cross the mersey heritage? crossing if thats close by and maybe find a beach, any ideas?
Check the Hotels out on this site as they are all central and within easy reach of Waterfront.
Formby Beach is the nearest unless you cross the river to New Brighton.
Loads of places to visit, great night life and endless eateries. Best value for money are usually the Pubs.
New Brighton is more of a traditional sea front. There is a bit of a beach, plenty of places to grab fish n chips and ice cream!
There are a few nightclubs but dont know what they are like.
Hope you have a good time wherever you end up!
There are nice beaches on the other side of the Wirral, West Kirkby, and Thurstaston are two that spring to mind. Then there is Formby (where you can see red squirrels in the red squirrel reserve right next to the beach), and of course, Southport.
Crosby beach - see Anthony Gormley's sculptures 'Another Country' which wade out to sea.
The Tate at the Albert Dock, including restaurant (but there are others).
