Ah it's the same one :) Not much choice in Disley really as it's only small.

To widen your search you could try sites for accomodation near Lyme Park.

Thank You Both for your research and I'll look at that link Jenna, though it wasn't given where I searched and Count, your link has been compressed so I can't read it. But Thanks to you both.
Hi Woodelf.

The Disley Parish Council website lists no accommodation in the area other than the Moorside Grange. If there is anything else the local library might know about it. The next time that they're open is on Monday, from 2pm to 7.30pm. Their telephone number is 01663 765635.

The nearest B&B I can find is Twiggy's in High Mills. That, and some pubs in the area with accommodation, can be found on this website:

The Waltzing Weasel is about 2-3 miles away (I vaguely recall) and is a really nice pub with great food
A friend of mine lived there for a while I think, will ask her if I see her later.

Jenna, are you psychic?...smile...otherwise how would you know the Lyme Park connection, which is my reason for wanting to stay in Disley and visit my artistic inspiration all those years ago when I lived in Marple, which has a lack of accommodation too, but Thank You for your help and the hint about the library which I will ring. Many Thanks too Chris for the New Mills link. Though a little far away, I'll still give it a look-see. Thanks also Trot.
I live in the next village to Disley !! What about the Best Western Moorside Grange hotel??
Would also be worth giving the local pubs a call to see if they do bed and breakfast.

Brilliant Curious!...which village do you live in then? I looked at the Moorside site and it says it's on the edge of Lyme Park, but which edge? I remember the Ram's Head and it was a massive place then (70s), but looking at their site, they don't mention accommodation; has it been reduced in size. I remember some of the pubs you mention and used to frequent them; White Horse, White Lion, Crescent and knew the location of the others but have fogotten their names, so very Many Thanks Indeed for the phone numbers. Has Disley changed much over all these years?

Curious, the next time you're in Disley, may I ask you if you could check that between the Ram's Head and The White Horse there is a church there and beside the church there used to be a pathway which lead to Lyme Park...is that pathway still there? Thanks Very Much if you could.
I so want to go, been meaning to for years, especially with the Pride and Prejudice filming connection.

I went passed it not long ago on the pretty way back to Manchester from Alton Towers, not that far away from me in Manchester really so no excuse, will have to get myself organised :)
Question Author
Ah, but I wish to go back there for the beauty of the Park's countryside, it's moorland and hills, stiles and trees, the views and the peace and quiet. Curious, I guess that pathway I was on about earlier is Red Lane!...I've sussed your secret...smile...visiting disley on-line, eh?...smile...still, Many Thanks for your time spent. But you'll still love it whatever the reason Jenna!
