Thinking of going away at the end of july for 2 or 3 days and seen that there are cheap flights to several destinations that I have not yet visited.
Amongst them are: Cork & Kerry in IRELAND
Frankfurt Hahn and Dusseldorf Weeze in Germany
Eindhoven
Oslo Torp
Oslo Rygge Norway
Glasgow Prestwick
I dont mind spending around 3 days at any one of these destinations but would like advise from you guys who have been to any of them whether you recommend them, and also whether the journey from some of these out of city airports should impede my decision to fly there.
Thanks. I just need advice on which one of them would be best to visit!

which is closer to the airport than Frankfurt is. It's a very pleasant city, with some beautiful old buildings and a superb street market. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants. I visited Mainz (on day trips from Stansted) last year and enjoyed it so much that I went back twice more. (I would have gone again this year but Ryanair have changed the flight times, making a day trip impractical).
This page has links to lots of information about the city:

Here's the city's official site:
http://www.mainz.de/W...t/hpkr-5nkek8.en.html
(Navigation is a little odd with that site. You need to initially use the drop-down options under 'Tourism' but then notice the menu which will appear down the left-hand-side).
Mainz is also a superb base for exploring. Frankfurt is about 40 minutes away by train:

plus there are river excursions available (on the Rhine) and loads of interesting towns to explore.

disagree with chris ( sorry old bean) but Frankfurt is a financial city. You might as well spend a couple of days in Leeds. There are older parts but they're nothing special. Thee is a red light district very near the main centre and I witnessed peoe shooting up sat on the pavement. It is also an exhibition centre and if you time it wrong there will be hoards of businessmen entertaining clients and the place will be heaving.
My money would be on Ireland.

English is widely understood in Germany. I've had some great conversations with the locals in bars and in the market place.
Look for the stand in the market where they promote local wines - after drinking a few glasses your knowledge of English will start to fade well before that of your hosts does!
;-)
