SAS Flight to Copenhagen from Manchester
Has anyone flown from Manchester recently? If so, what cabin baggage restrictions are currently in force there? Do we still have to put make-up, tablets, and so-on in a little plastic bag?
Do spray cans (ie deodorant & hairspray) have to be packed in cabin baggage or hold baggage?
Many thanks for any help.

Prescription medication can be separate but still has to be in a bag - I carried tablets (in their prescription packaging) separately in my hand luggage last week. Deodorant and hair spray can be in the 5 items as long as they are tiny versions under 100ml, big ones must go in the hold.
The security rules regarding liquids (which includes creams, gels and pastes) are common to all airlines flying from all airports with the EU (as well as from some non-EU airports). No container holding more than 100ml is permitted. (It's the size of the container which matters; not how much liquid is actually inside it. A one-third full 200ml bottle will be prohibited, even though it contains less than 100ml). All containers must fit comfortably into a single 'sandwich-sized' clear bag:

Almost all spray cans hold more than 100ml, so they're automatically banned from cabin baggage.

I don't know about tablets - I don't think there's any ban on them, only liquids. I usually carry a load of them, but I just keep them in my hand baggage and nobody's ever asked to look at them. There's no limit (except the overall weight limit) on what goes in hold baggage, they're just scared you will dive into your carry-on and mix your shampoo and conditioner together to create some sort of explosive.
Boxtops quotes a maximum of 5 items. 237SJ quotes a maximum of 10. Neither is correct because there is no numerical maximum.
The rule is simply that "contents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealed". (The total capacity of the bag is limited to 1 litre but a 20cm x20cm bag won't actually hold that much, within separate containers, anyway. A cuboid measuring 20cm x20cm x 2.5cm would hold 1 litre).
Look at the photograph, in my link, to get an idea of what will fit comfortably inside your bag.
