Wear whatever you like but take something warm as it can get chilly in the evening. It will be an event that you will remember the rest of your life. Wonderful!

Warm clothes and an emergency poncho for the rain. Don't drink before as it's almost impossible to get out to the loo, of which there are very few, go somewhere before entering the castle!
Take a lot of tissues as it's almpost impossible not to blub, especially at the end with the lone piper, I'm filling up now.
Enjoy it!
It can be very cold up on the grandstand thing that you sit on, especially if the east wind is blowing (which it usually is) . So wear lots of layers and take a car rug as well.
Edinburgh's weather is not at all reliable, so a waterproof is a good idea too.
Great spectacle, though and what a setting!
